You never know what is going to be cooking up in my creative kitchen. Some of the best of our family favorites have come from a bevy of leftover baking bits.

Marshmallow Merri-mints

I had some marshmallows, melted chocolate and pretzels leftover from making marshmallow reindeer. I had run out of Wilton candy eyes…. but I didn’t want the chocolate to go to waste. I rummaged around in my freezer and found just the thing to pull it all together. Andes Peppermint Crunch Baking Chips.

The directions are really simple. Place a square of wax paper on the counter. Place tiny twist pretzels an inch or so apart on the wax paper. Dip a marshmallow into melted chocolate and place on top of each pretzel. Cover the chocolate with the peppermint chips. I had some extra sucker sticks so I made them into merri-mint pops.

When I ran out of marshmallows… I drizzled pretzels with the last of the chocolate and, you guessed it, covered them in the last of the peppermint chips.
